The newly built sailyacht of
Lodestar Marine Enterprise,
the “ALBATROSS”, arrived in
Greece and she is available for
charter in Corfu from June 2020
onwards. The “ALBATROSS”, is
a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 440 (SO
440), that was launched in 2018
and rightfully received important
awards, such as “European
Yacht of the Year” and “SAIL
Magazine – Best Boat”. Some
of the special attributes of the
SO440, is the increased bow
that offers improved buoyancy
and space for two comfortable
fore cabins (out of total 4).
The
revolutionary design of the yacht’s
cockpit and running deck offers
unprecedented ease of access
to the bow and back, while the
coamings convert to sunbeds
with only one move. Going on
with comfort aspects, the SO440,
offers a very practical Chart table
and a “U” Shaped Galley (rare
for yachts of this size), while the
gooseneck is located closer to the
deck offering easy access to the
sail. Jeanneau did not sacrifice
performance for comfort.
The
SO440 is fitted with a bowsprit
for an asymmetric spinnaker and
twin rudders, while the fore stay
is moved further to the bow
offering larger sail area. The
LOA of 44 feet is ideal for Greek
waters, as it combines all weather
safety and comfort with easy
access to the most beautiful and
picturesque ports.
